This technical rope rescue operations level course is a three to four day class that offers an introduction to technical rope rescue. The class introduces students to technical rope rescue skills for both individual rope skills and team based rescue on steep (up to 60 degree) slopes.

We believe in training rescuers who can not only build and operate rope systems, but also understand the forces, how they are applied, how to trouble-shoot a problem and how to assess and access subjects in a variety of situations. Many students in our TRR -OL classes are rope rescue professionals, SAR team members, firefighters, mountain guides and personnel aiming to become “Technician Level” responders. To become an NFPA technician in Water and Rope, rescuers must complete the TRR-TL, SRT-1 and SRT-A. No formal prerequisites but we strongly encourage individuals to practice their rescue knots before arriving so they can be confident in team-based exercises.

Course Prerequisites: no formal requirements, review knots prior to the course
