Professional Rescue Training for Emergency Responders and Government Agencies
Swiftwater Rescue
Technical Rope Rescue
Surface Ice Rescue
Obtaining and maintaining certifications, such as Swiftwater Rescue Technician, Rope Rescue Technician, or Ice Rescue Technician, will ensure that you and your agency are ready to safely respond to emergencies that fall within your jurisdiction. Owning every piece of technical equipment on the market will not replace a robust training program for you and your team. We strongly encourage you to train to a higher standard than you anticipate responding to. Furthermore, we feel that you should train for any and all potential incidents, instead of practicing only within the realm of incidents that you have experienced in the past. What can happen, will happen. By going above and beyond in your training, you and your team will be prepared to handle the technical aspects of a rescue under the heightened stress that comes with any given situation.
Our courses emphasize:
Hazard Awareness
Prevention
Self Rescue
Team Rescue
Victim Rescue
Rescue USING the equipment you regularly carry
Our courses are designed to give you the knowledge and skills needed to preform rescues, and test those skills in multiple incident command based scenarios (ICS). All of our courses are certified by Rescue 3 International and meet their international standard, which satisfies, and in most cases exceeds, NFPA standards. Course curriculum is developed by an international board that evaluates the best of practices used around the world and combines them with teaching methodology. Our courses are taught by professional rescuers who have passed Rescue 3 International's rigorous instructor training program.
Which training level is best?
Rescue 3 International offers three distinct levels of training for certification:
Awareness
Awareness level coursework and certification provides an introductory skill set to a potential rescuer. This certification will prepare you for the minimum response for technical rescue scenarios.
Operations
Operations level coursework and certification provides more comprehensive education than the awareness level and will equip rescuers with knowledge to identify and avoid hazards and apply basic rescue techniques in a supporting role during an active rescue.
Technician
Technician level coursework and certification builds on the skills of the operations level to equip the rescuer with knowledge to identify and avoid hazards, utilize appropriate rescue equipment, apply advanced rescue techniques and lead a team during an active rescue.
